A summer trip to Alaska

Summer 1972, a friend and I, on school break, pack up to Alaska. That wilderness became that enduring first love for this Easterner. The trip in, on a low flying 4 seater, brought close sight of Grizzlies running along the wooded shore. Every hike, a new discovery, from grazing Moose, soaring Eagles, to the breath stealing first glimpse of breaching Humpbacks just off the western shore of Douglas Is. This life changing experience should be one, always possible, never a relic for the history books.
