Leave Them and Us Alone

When I think of wildlife, or am reminded of it by a picture, or better yet find myself in proximity to a wild animal, I get a feeling of wonder and my spirit is lifted. I think it's a part of my human spirit that I feel for the wildness of nature and its animals. I do not want my spirit or my humanity diminished by having wildlife compromised by what passes for rationalized, political convenience.

It would be of a permanent, criminal nature for legislators to accept money and then marginalize one of the most critical elements in all the citizens' humanity.
