Save the Wolves

A year and a half ago my husband had the opportunity to hand raise a ten day old male Arctic/Timberwolf. I was initially extremely nervous about this happening in my home because we have other domestic animals and a young granddaughter who stays with us on weekends. This year a female Arctic/Timber joined the family and it has been the best experience we've had.
These are the most gentle and loving creatures. They are not aggressive and have been painted with a totally incorrect image. They take only what they need to survive and repay the ecosystem greatly. Case in point is the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone. We live in NW Montana and people have bumper stickers on their cars that say "Save an elk, shoot a wolf". which is entirely ridiculous. Aren't wolves supposed to feed on elk?
The movement to stop aerial shooting in Alaska is monumental. Kudos to Defenders. The Alaskan government should be ashamed of allowing the murder of these defenseless animals under the guise of "hunting".
Defenders, thank you for all you do.
